Job Description
Our client is an international company providing corporate and consulting services. Operating since 2003 it has successfully managed to open offices in Cyprus, Russia, Hong Kong, and Latvia. They are currently looking for a Chief Accountant for their office in Limassol. This position is onsite and could with time become hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily accounting for the group of companies (5 companies) using Quick Books software
- Daily invoicing to clients
- Acts of reconciliations with clients and counterparties
- Payroll and payroll taxes calculation for 3 companies (up to 15 people)
- Calculation and submission of VAT returns - 1 company
- Full accounting for 5 operating companies and preparing them for audit
- Communication with auditors
- Collection of expense invoices for the group of companies, mandatory payments, interest on loan agreements, etc., tracking dates of their payment, filing applications for payment of expense accounts to the financial department
- Control of the relevance of contracts and additional agreements
- Checking the relevance of payment schedules for 5 companies
- Monthly formation of CF for the financial department of the group of companies
- Quarterly formation of PL for the financial department of the group of companies
- Payment of invoices via the JCC system
- Working with banks, answering questions on incoming/outgoing payments
- Control over compliance with the law, dates, relevance, and completeness of accounting for the group of companies
- Direct reports: treasury specialist and a financial controller
- Additional tasks from the financial director and other company executives
- Direct reporting to the financial director
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- Work experience as a chief accountant/head accountant for at least 3 years in a Cyprus company
- Native Russian and fluent in English are required
- Knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation, experience in calculating taxes and filing tax returns (income tax, defense tax, GESY, VAT)
- Work experience in the Payroll section (salary calculation, Social Insurance, GESY, Income Tax, registration in Ergani)
- Experience in management reporting: CF, PL, payment schedule
- Ability to work in a polysemic mode, punctuality, non-confrontational attitude, customer focus, compliance with deadlines for completing tasks
