Our client is an international FMCG company with operations in Europe and North Africa, seeking to hire a Sales and Operations Support Officer to join their team in Nicosia. You will be based in Cyprus and work closely with the team in both Cyprus and North Africa. Traveling to Libya might be required on occasion.
As they continue to grow, we are looking for a talented and driven individual to support their sales and operations teams, ensuring efficient business processes and driving performance improvements across the board.
Role Overview:
As a Sales and Operations Support Specialist, you will be the backbone of their operational and commercial teams, providing critical insights and assistance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with finance, trade, sales, and operational departments to manage data, analyze trends, and prepare key reports that shape their business direction.
Your role is essential in supporting their net revenue management, optimizing package mix, and contributing to overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Operations Support:
- Work directly with operations teams and indirectly with the sales teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of trade activities, and business operations.
Net Revenue Management & Package Mix:
- Assist in the planning and execution of pricing strategies, product portfolio optimization, and promotional activities to maximize net revenue and achieve sales targets.
Finance & Reporting:
- Collaborate with the finance team to gather data, prepare financial reports, and analyze sales performance metrics, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of revenue, costs, and margins.
Data Analysis & Management:
- Gather, analyze, and interpret large sets of data from multiple sources (e.g., sales, operations, market data). Provide actionable insights to support business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
Trade Support:
- Assist in trade promotions and execution, ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Excel & Data Tools Proficiency:
- Leverage advanced Excel functions and other analytical tools to create detailed models, performance dashboards, and ad-hoc reports for leadership and cross-functional teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with various departments such as marketing, finance, plant, logistics, and customer service to ensure seamless communication and workflow, helping drive operational efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales operations, data analysis, or a similar role, in the FMCG or beverage industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Experience with data management and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset for problem-solving and process improvement.
